Test & Measure Your Niche To Ensure Long Term Success
There are literally thousands of eBay sellers, in fact a whopping 95% of sellers who have no idea what they‘re really doing when it comes to running their eBay business to its full profit potential. In other words, most sellers get lucky making a few sales and then just continue to do the same thing over and over again, never really knowing whether or not they could have done much better.
The problem then is, that most other sellers just follow suit and go around in circles, they never really make BIG money, like they always hoped they would.
From your very first day in your eBay business you must make a promise to yourself that you will test and measure absolutely everything you do with this business. If you fail to do this, you will fail in this business, it‘s that simple.
When you get your niche product up and running the first thing you need to do, is not be complacent that you have already done all the hard work. The following steps after getting your hands on your niche product will be testing and measuring all different parts of your listing to see what works best. This might mean changing your keywords in your title description, or having 2 of the same listings running with 2 different titles.. Or having different headlines..
Here are a few things you can test and measure to make sure that you ensure success for your product:
* Using a subtitle, can a subtitles make you more money?
* Using Listing Upgrades like Featured Plus or Highlighting, these can be expensive, so make sure you are using them to stand above your competition and that it won’t eat all your profits.
*Shortening or Lengthening your product description to see what your buyers like, you may have 2 different listings going to see if your short copy works better than your long copy..
* Testing the duration of the listing, have you tried the different lengths to see which one works best?
*Different selling methods like, Buy It Now, Best Offer or Fixed Price with a quantity – try all and see which one works best for your product
At the end of the day, everyone goes into business to make a profit. If making a handsome profit for the amount of effort and time you‘ll need to put into your eBay business isn‘t paramount to you, then you‘re wasting your time. Make sure you are doing your eBay business justice by testing and measuring everything you can before you move onto a new product.
Til next time, test and measure always!
