Run Out Of Things Around The House To Sell?
So you’ve cleaned out your garage, your kid’s toy boxes and your closet and made a nice profit but your still trying to get your feedback up but don’t know where else you can find stuff to sell?
You want items that are going to be low cost to you but still make a good profit right…
Here are 7 different ways you can source products for next to nothing:
1. Garage Sales
A lot of you will see those Garage Sale signs and just can’t be bothered, but this will need to change! You won’t find great items at every one but when you do find a good one make sure you make the person an offer for a bulk lot of items, they will probably be more than happy to get rid of a large chunk instead of one piece at a time.
2. Markets
If your area has markets make sure you go to them and look for anything that has potential profit, some stalls will have lots of bits and pieces that you can get for a good price and others will want to barter, make sure you know that it will sell on eBay and you won’t be left with a lot of junk .
3. Pawn Shops
You will find some places like Cash Converters won’t know the value of the items they are selling and you may be able to pick it up for a bargain price to resell. Don’t go for anything like gold or jewellery in these shops though as it is a flooded market on eBay and pawn shops like to mark up these items.
4. Charity Shops
This one is a great bargain palace if you have the time and patience to go through their racks and from shop to shop. Several of our staff members use this method every weekend and often get up to a 500% mark up on what they paid for it.
5. Local Newspapers
Start by looking at the small ads for items that you know sell on eBay then make note of the other items in the paper and research on eBay if they do sell and then you can go back and buy them or keep an eye out for them next time.
6. Notice Boards
This one might not be as lucrative as other methods but it is just as important to keep your eye out for any potential bargains. You could also place and ad there to advertise that you will pay cash for any second hand items..
7. Discount Stores
When places like Target, Kmart, Big W etc have a sale its a great opportunity to buy quality products at cheaper prices, the margins might not be huge but at least you will make some money and get feedback at the same time. This way you can also pick up a larger quantity and sell more of them.
Wow so there’s a lot of easy to access places where you can source products for next to nothing and only spend a few hours doing so,for some of you it might sound time consuming but in the long run ask yourself what will it make you and remember it will only bring you closer to having that 100 feedback!
Til next time, get out there bargain hunting!
