How Will You Benefit From The New Changes On eBay?
Yet again eBay’s changing and evolving their ways for sellers and they’ve
launched a few new changes and tools to help you stay informed and sell
more easily.
The feedback they received from the seller community in the last few
months has helped pave the way for these new changes this year.
So What Does This Mean For You?
# eBay has changed the way they display BidderIDs, to align with
other eBay sites, so now when someone is bidding on your item you
will only see the first letter of their ID and the last letter.
# They’ve also given the seller dashboard a fresh feel – with more
practical and understandable language so you know where your
account stands at all times.
#Global Buying Hub – a centre which gives you access to millions
of buyers from around the world. When you create your listings
on eBay.com.au, just specify that you’ll ship worldwide or choose
specific countries or regions. Your listings will automatically be
included in Global Buying Hub search results at no extra cost.

Now there are also new Promotions to look out for in Feb/March
From 2 – 22 March eBay are offering ZERO insertion fees on all
99c auction listings.
That’s 21 days for you to enjoy the savings, so make sure you
take advantage of this one!
From mid February, if you have a Store you will be able to upgrade
to the new version of Stores on eBay.
The new eBay Stores Experience offers a number of features
intended to help drive buyers to your items, such as:
* Improved store search and merchandise suggestions for
misspellings and low results
* Improved look and feel – Gives your store a facelift, by
bringing the background design more in line with the rest
of eBay
* Enhanced promotion boxes to better showcase your items,
for instance, the new promotion box filmstrip, which is similiar
to the Auctiva scrolling gallery
* Updated eBay themes to help you set up a professional looking
Store without using HTML and you can start selling right away
* Improved buyer features to help find your items
* Refined search preferences within your Store to make it easier
for buyers to find exactly what they’re looking for
* A new Gallery View to showcase your items, making it easier
for buyers to see what your Store has in stock
So there’s a few changes in place already and a few more to come,
all for the better for sellers.
If you have a Basic Store and would like to take advantage of the
upgrade, just click into your Store and manage Store and you will
get a message straight away to upgrade from eBay, click on that
and you will be taken through a few steps to get started!
Til next time, have a great eBay week and don’t forget to take
advantage of those zero insertion fees!
