Give Buyers Every Reason To Shop With You Again & Again..
With so many recent changes at eBay focused on improving the “buyer experience,” it is highly important to know what buyers want. Feedback history, Powerseller rated or Top-rated Seller badge demonstrates trustworthiness with any seller however there is more to a customer experience than good feedback alone.
Sometimes it can be hard to find the specific things buyers are looking for in your market, but there are generally 4 key things you must keep up to date with, to improve your buyer experience.
1. Fast shipping
Of course most buyers want it now, however everyone knows sellers can’t control the speed of the post office or the courier so the best way to combat if they want it asap is to offer at least two shipping options and let the buyer decide how long they’re willing to wait for their item to arrive. One regular post and the other express.
2.Fair shipping and handling charges
With eBay’s new rules that you can’t charge more than they have set in some categories, this has weeded out the sellers that used to sell items for 99c and then charge $30 for shipping. To be compete with other sellers you need to charge the same or better. Make sure you do your research and charge the correct amounts and don’t guess-temitate.
3. Communication
How many times have you purchased something online and then heard nothing from the seller, no payment confirmation, no shipping notice, no tracking information and then all of a sudden the item arrives? One of the easiest things that you can do to stand out from the crowd is to keep in touch with the buyer every step of the way, let them know when you receive the payment and let them know when you send the item etc
4. Clear and accurate descriptions
Your listing is usually the first impression you will make on a potential buyer. Titles, descriptions and your product images should always be clear and information to the point, giving them all the information they need to buy from you.
The clearer your description is the more buyers you will have so make sure you break your paragraphs up in to smaller bits and you can also use photos to break the text up.
If you can nail these 4 points your customer service will be at the top of the sellers in your category and of course you will have returning customers buying from you over and over.
