As we all know eBay love to listen to their customers and change the environment to suit what is happening at that time. Some brand new changes are coming to eBay that will grow your business or lower your costs if you sell lots of BIN items or own a Store on eBay.com.au.
The demand for Buy It Now (BIN) has grown and eBay are now aligning with this trend by make some changes to eBay Stores, searches and Buy It Now which will enable sellers to meet this growing buyer demand. So eBay are retiring Store Inventory Format and offering 30-day and Good ‘Til Cancelled durations to BIN listings.
The new pricing structure from 10 September 2009 on eBay.com.au is intended to offer savings to sellers who have a Store package and list with Buy It Now.
Now with their new 30 day and Good ‘Til Cancelled durations, you could save up to 66 per cent off the Insertion Fee. And with a 30 day listing, the more you sell the more likely you are to rank higher up in the search results.
You can pay one low flat rate Insertion Fee from just 10c for a 30 day BIN listing. So if you’ve got lots of identical products, load them into one listing!

All listings will appear in the main search results and will be sorted by eBay’s new search mechanism called Best Match Which means you save 59c to display your item in search results for BIN listings. The new Best Match sort will rank listings higher from sellers with high DSRs.
Maintaining a consistently high level of service is great for ranking higher in search results and for repeat business from customers. In addition to customer service, one other factor which is very important for a higher rank in search is a listing’s recent sales. The more items you sell from a single BIN listing, the more likely that listing is to appear higher up in search results. That’s why multiple-quantity listings are important to your selling success.
In addition, factors such as title relevance, price and postage cost can also influence search ranking, but these will vary based on the category you list in.
